What We Believe

We believe the Bible is God’s Word and that we can trust what it says. It is the foundation for what we believe, how we live, and what we teach as a church. We use the King James Version in our church services.

We believe there is one God, who has always existed and has made Himself known as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ is God the Son. He became truly human, was born of a virgin and lived a completely sinless life. He died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead and is alive today.

The word ‘gospel’ means ‘good news.’ The Bible tells us that we have all sinned, and as a result of our sin, we are separated from God. The good news is that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and rose again. Through Him, God offers forgiveness and eternal life to everyone who turns from their sin and places their faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe the Holy Spirit is God and is at work in the world and in the lives of those who trust in Jesus. He gives new life and helps believers grow to become more like Christ.

We believe salvation is God’s gift, not something we can earn. We are saved by His grace when we turn from our sin and place our faith in Jesus Christ, who gave His life for us. Those who belong to Christ are His forever.

We believe the local church is a body of believers who gather to worship God, grow through His Word and carry out Christ’s mission. Each local church is accountable to Christ and independent of outside control.
